Born in Romania and currently working in Auckland, New Zealand, following a significant period of practice in California, Andreea is a contemporary artist whose career spans over a decade. Rooted in a profound spiritual dedication to her faith, her work is fundamentally defined by a rigorous approach to hyper-realism.
She is most notably recognized for her immersive waterscapes and marine environments. Through a meticulous study of light, form, and tension, Andreea isolates the complex, kinetic realities of cresting waves and atmospheric seascapes, translating the raw momentum of the ocean into highly exact, static compositions.
While these aquatic landscapes form the cornerstone of her critical recognition, her dynamic portraiture illustrates the expansive breadth of her technical acumen. The same exacting precision used to render the varied textures and translucency of water is applied to capture the penetrating psychological depth of her human subjects, revealing a refined and highly disciplined skill set honed meticulously over the course of her career.
”Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life; everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfilment. Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated. Thus, everyone’s task is unique as his specific opportunity to implement it.”— Viktor E. Frankl
